LAB BUILT 01 / A200
In the world of downhill racing, there is hardly a name that is so closely associated with technical obsession as Atherton. With the Lab Built 01 / A200 We have created a bike that celebrates the unconventional approach of the British brothers: away from mass production towards engineering perfection.

The Atherton 200 DH frame
When it comes to the Downhill World Cup, Atherton Bikes isn't just another brand – it's a rolling laboratory. Their DH bikes like the A200 They are the result of decades of racing experience on the toughest tracks in the world, from Fort William to Mont-Sainte-Anne.
Unlike the general public, Atherton relies on a lug-and-tube design, This allows them to adjust the geometry with a precision that would be unattainable for conventional carbon forms. These bikes are built to Maximum traction and absolute control Designed for high-speed use. The goal is a chassis that is stiff enough to hit every line with millimeter precision, but at the same time has enough inherent damping to minimize the physical strain on the driver.
Suspension alchemy
The DW6 linkage system The A200 forms the kinematic backbone for the outstanding running smoothness and track precision that this chassis is renowned for in heavy-duty high-speed applications. But only the perfect tuning brings the potential of a 6-link system to life. In our LAB we have the Fox Float 40 Podium Gold and the DHX2 2026 underwent a complete metamorphosis.
Thanks to our Suspension Lab Treatment We have further perfected the already excellent small-bump response. The combination of optimized shims and reduced tolerances ensures that the tires literally stick to the ground. The bike generates a mechanical grip that provides unparalleled composure, especially in technical sections and during hard braking maneuvers. The suspension operates so efficiently that even erratic line choices are handled with a composure that gives the rider a new level of control. gives confidence.

Mechanical purity
To avoid limiting the frame by drive influences, we rely on the Ochain Active Spider System at an 5DEV Titanium Crank. The goal: Complete decoupling of the suspension from the chain drive. Combined with the rigid ENVE M8 wheels in the Mullet setup and the brutal biting power of the Hope Tech4 V4, This bike is a challenge to the stopwatch.
Conclusion
The Lab Built 01 / A200 It is much more than the sum of its exclusive components. It is the consistent symbiosis of progressive British engineering and our profound expertise in chassis optimization. We have created a tool for the connoisseur who accepts no compromise and knows exactly that true speed is only achieved through absolute control and the meditative, acoustic silence on the trail. A bike that not only overcomes distances but redefines the drop line.
